Support Us

The Dyslexia-SPELD Foundation (DSF) is a registered charity. We provide a range of services to families and individuals who are affected by learning difficulties and disabilities including Dyslexia. A number of these services are provided free of charge or at a reduced cost as a result of donations received from members of the community.

All donations to DSF are fully tax deductible and funds raised will directly support children and families with learning difficulties.
There are a number of ways you can donate to DSF:

  • Call our friendly reception staff on (08) 9217 2500 to donate over the phone
  • Donate through PayPal
  • Create or sponsor a fundraising event through My Cause
  • Make a one-off or recurring donation through Give Now

Ways You Can Help

Every cent of your donation will go directly to one of DSF’s services for members of the WA community.
You can choose to specify which DSF service your donation goes to by completing the form below:

Support for families

This includes the provision of:

  • low-cost tutoring for disadvantaged students with learning difficulties
  • free telephone support to individuals with dyslexia and their families
  • free educational programs for disadvantaged students
  • subsidised assessments for individuals at risk of learning difficulties who are experiencing financial hardship

Resources for the DSF Library

The DSF library provides a range of evidence-based books, games and other resources which are available for loan to members of the Foundation which include families, tutors and teachers. The demand for good resources is extremely high, therefore, new and up-to-date resources are continually needed to be purchased.

Research and resource development

DSF conducts a variety of research which aims to explore the nature of learning difficulties and to find ways to improve academic outcomes and wellbeing for individuals who struggle with reading and writing. We also develop resources for families, tutors and teachers to use to support students with learning difficulties. Both endeavours are extremely time-consuming and we need donations to enable us to develop new and exciting resources and research programs.
